Note: ‘The Official Baby Watcher’ (‘The OBW’),’the Lil Baby Watcher’ & ‘The Baby Watcher’ are all one and the same; the names are used interchangeably here in. The original name – “The Official Baby Watcher” came from the story on which the character is based. Go to read on how he got his name

Licensees, looking for a potentially hot successful properties via a baby’s/children’s character with a broad open worldwide multicultural market should consider the OBW for licensing, because anywhere babies are cherished the OBW is apropos. He is well rounded character/concept with an array of licensing and marketing possibilities.

Who is the OBW? You ask: Imagine a fanciful children’s character that has Real Purpose and Mission that by his loving nature and through it’s the heart-warming story is designed to capture the hearts of families.

It has a story that is its market vehicle. The story can very easily be translated in to video/movie. The OBW is designed to capture is multi-cultural worldwide market. Meet and see The Lil Baby Watcher at www.thelilbabywatcher.net.

Being  how the O.B.W. was created by an artist, the concept may seem a bit abstract, but it shouldn’t be...I only want families to accept him at face value – simply as a novelty little watchman with a Positive Wholesome Purpose and Mission – to rally the whole family for watching over  babies and small children” says Gatica. This is what makes his fanciful mission a warm reality.

“And just like Wob, I respect and care for small children and have taken the steps to fulfill the character's ultimate wish and have made him a playable, plush toy that doubles as a decorative wall hanging for the baby's room - so that he will always be in a baby' room - like he wished”, says Gatica.

A Few Words from the Artist: “There should be no mystery behind the OBW, he is simply a reflection of my caring for small children, and all living things.

Have you ever had a need to create something because you can't find anything like it anywhere in stores? This is how “The Li'l Baby Watcher” came to being. “I created the character a few years ago for a friend’s new born baby because I wanted to give the new baby a special, meaningful unique gift from the heart, something significant and with a purpose. I thought - the greatest thing I could give a child would be their very own personal guardian that would watch over them forever.” says artist, Ray Gatica.

Now, through the story book, and plush dolls everyone can share this warm thought with their own small family members and that of friends. They make the ultimate 'caring gifts from the heart' for all small children. I expect a discerning public, who expect more from a children's character, will support the character and help in spreading his mission world-wide.

Available for Licensing: A baby character designed to capture the hearts of the general family through its various product facets.

Have you ever had a need to create something because you can't find anything like it anywhere in stores? This is how “The Official Baby Watcher” came to being.

The original gift was a whimsical - two-dimensional, airbrush rendering poster, 18 X 24” (tall), of my, idea of what a baby watchman would look like if he were real; after all, anyone who takes on the rigorous position of watching over a child has to be strong, alert, and of course, physically capable.

On the Characters Physical Stature:  Overall he is a little peculiar, funny looking character with a large head with big eyes, big ears and short-short legs and he stands on two huge clumsy looking boots. And, even though he is a misfit of sorts, a cross between a funny looking clown and a dashing, little soldier he is neither; and instead of holding a rifle like a soldier he vaguely resembles, he holds a useless candy-cane stick with lollipops on top. The idea is that his big ears and alert eyes allow him to see and hear everything in the baby’s room.  He has wide shoulders, a barrel chest and big arms and sturdy, short legs with big feet to hold him upright sternly.  Actually, he’s a funny and peculiar looking misfit, but non-the-less, he’s well-formed physically.  The O.B.W. is a strong, debonair, healthy, wholesome looking character by design.  If he were real, there would be no doubt of his ability to physically act as a bodyguard and successfully watch over the children, hence his name ‘The Li’l Baby Watcher’.

On his uniform: Its official looking uniform was designed by Gatica, and hand made by Mrs. Lillian Baksa, a seamstress, and owner of the Doll Hospital in, Waterbury Connecticut. The uniform is somewhat military looking and then again it is not. It is supposed to just give him an air of 'officiality', while making him dashing and debonair. It also serves to make him more of a misfit being a cross between a funny clown and a soldier, because instead of him having a rifle over his shoulder like a soldier, would have, he has a harmless useless candy cane with lolli-pops on top.

This sculpture wound up being the basis baby gifts, the multicultural plush dolls that double as decorative wall hangings for the baby's room can be seen on the website. TheLilBabyWatcher.net.
